eVISA FAQ

If your online visa application was not accepted, please check ALL of the below to determine the reason for non-acceptance.

APPLICATION FORM:

1. You did not complete the application form fully
e.g. for residential address in Australia please write street number and name, SUBURB, CITY, STATE and POST CODE
e.g. for place of birth you only wrote the city. It is asking for CITY, STATE or PROVINCE and COUNTRY
e.g. for Chinese nationals, you did not provide your Chinese ID number issued by your government

2. You did not write "NONE" in sections requiring it that were not applicable to you
3. When filling out current profession information was too vague. E.g. business owner - what kind of business, what is the address and contact number etc.
4. When filling out current profession for children in school you did not write student and you did not provide
 the school name, address and contact. 

 

PHOTO:

1. You took a photo of a photo. Do NOT use a photo of a photo. Please take a photo and upload your picture instead.
2. 
The top of your head is cut off in the photo.
3. Your photo is too old. Photos must be taken wihin the last 6 months.
4. Your photo has shadows.
5.You did not have a plain background for your photo.
6. Your photo is too small or too big.
7. Your photo was not bright enough.

 

SCHEDULE OF STAY:

1. You did not provide a DAY by DAY schedule.
2. Your schedule is TOO VAGUE. (i.e. you only wrote “sightseeing” "day trip" "tour" or only the area name. THIS IS NOT ACCEPTED)
3. You did not provide the intended accommodation name, address and phone numbers for all accommodations for each day. For Air bnb’s, please write “Air bnb” in the contact box.


 

BANK RECORDS:

1. Your bank records were not for 3 months.
e.g. January to March is only 2 months – Jan to Feb (1 month), Feb to Mar (2 months)
2. You uploaded your transaction record (which did not show sufficient funds for your trip) and then uploaded a proof of balance sheet  suddenly showing sufficient funds. This is NOT accepted. Proof of balance is NOT accepted. You must upload the TRANSACTIONS to show how your bank suddenly has sufficient funds for your trip. 
3.You had a large deposit that was not verified with extra documents.
4. You are a student and your parents transfer money but you did not provide the extra documents required to verify the large and/or constant transfers.
5. You only submitted your everyday account and it did not have sufficient funds for your trip.
6. You only submitted your savings account which constantly has transfers from your other account and you did not provide 3 months of your other account.
7. There was no name on your transaction list.
8. You have a large deposit from your spouse/ parents/ child OR you are using their bank account (your name is not listed as an account holder) instead and you did not submit the extra documents needed to use their account for your application. Extra documents listed here under document number 6 ** section.
9. You uploaded credit card transactions. Credit card records are NOT accepted at all. 


 

FLIGHT SCHEDULE:

1. You did not provide a flight starting from Brisbane or Gold Coast.
2. You did not provide a flight returning to Brisbane or Gold Coast.
3. You only submitted typed up flight details. You must submit EITHER screenshots of intended flights or e-tickets (flights do NOT have to be purchased)
4. You are not coming back to live in Australia, and you did not provide a letter stating that after your Japan trip you are no longer living in Australia and therefore will not come back.
5. You require a visa for the next country AFTER Japan and you did not submit a valid visa for that country.


 

AUSTRALIAN VISA:

1. Your Australian visa type is “Tourist/ Visitor Visa”.
(If you hold an Australian tourist/visitor visa you must apply for the Japanese visa in your home country)
2. Your Australian visa type is “Bridging A”.
(You must apply for bridging visa B if you intend to come back to Australia)
3. You have not updated your passport number that is linked to your Australian visa and also did not attached a copy of your old passport to confirm the passport number linked to your Australian visa.


 

OTHER:

1. Your documents were blurry and unreadable.
2. 
You applied for the wrong type of visa.(e.g. you applied for a tourism visa but you needed to apply for a visiting friends or family visa)
3. Your documents were in another language. ALL DOCUMENTS MUST BE SUBMITTED IN ENGLISH
4. You applied for your visa too late.
(If we do not have at least 10 working days to process your visa (from the date of your application submission) we will return your application)
