Appointments Required for All Matters

 2. I am running late for my VISA appointment, can I just come at a later time the same day?

NO. As other people have bookings for that same day, it is not possible to come at a different time.
If you are more than 5 minutes late or completely miss your appointment, you must book a NEW appointment.

 3. Can I make a booking by email or phone call?

NO. Bookings can only be made online through our website.

 4. There are no appointments available but I already have been issued a Certificate of Eligibility (COE) or I have a medical emergency, is there any way to book any appointment?

Please send an email visasection@bb.mofa.go.jp only if appointments are fully booked out and include the following details in your email enquiry:
- Your full name
- Nationality
- Purpose of visit to Japan
-When you intend to go to Japan (if you are travelling to other countries before Japan, please mention your departure date from Brisbane/Gold Coast to those countries)
-Which suburb (including postcode) you reside in in Australia
-How many people require a visa (if more than 1 person requires a booking, provide the above details for EACH applicant)

 5. There are no appointments available by the time I want to go to Japan for a holiday, is there any way to book any appointment?

NO. For holiday purposes, please wait until an appointment becomes available and make a booking to submit your application OR lodge an eVISA online instead (single entry tourism ONLY).

 6. My family all need visas, can we just book one appointment for us all?

NO. It is one appointment PER PERSON including children. Please book one appointment for EACH PERSON who requires a visa and book the appointments back to back.

 7. I lodged an eVISA but am worried it won't be processed in time so I also booked an in-person appointment, is that ok?6. My family all need visas, can we just book one appointment for us all?

NO. Both in person and eVISA applications CANNOT be submitted. Please only choose ONE method to apply, either the online eVISA (tourism ONLY) or book an in person for in person lodgement.

 8. I am worried that I may be missing documents and need to make another appointment to come to the Consulate to lodge my application. Can I book a few appointments just in case?

NO. Only one booking PER PERSON is allowed. Anyone with duplicate bookings found will have the duplicate booking CANCELLED without warning.
To avoid confusion for this, please book each appointment in each visa applicant's name (for those whose whole family must lodge an application).
