All visa types can be applied for in person.
Appointments (click here to book) are required for in-person visa applications. Applicants must print and bring all the required documents (including application form), their passport and a newly taken passport photo (taken within the last 6 months) to their appointment.



 

ONLINE

Single-entry TOURISM ONLY visas can be applied for online. All other visa types must be applied for in person.
Eligibility: entering and departing Japan by flight (no cruises); not visiting any friends or family that live in Japan while on holidays; and holding an ordinary passport (no travel documents, no diplomatic or official/service passports).
