Security Process for Entry

Please line up on your left side (without blocking elevator doors and safety stairs) to avoid obstructing the entrances of the other tenants as Level 17 is a shared floor. For safety reasons DO NOT sit on the floor in this shared lobby. Our office opens from 9:00am and is closed during lunchtime (click here to see our opening hours for each service), DO NOT arrive before 9:00am and 1:30pm to prevent overcrowding in this shared public space.

All visitors are required to show one form of original photographic identification to the security guard stationed at the main door before they will be permitted to enter. Preferred forms of identification are a valid passport, Australian driver licence or other government-issued ID.

The maximum number of people that may occupy the waiting room at any one time is 10 (groups exceeding number of spaces available will be asked to wait until enough spaces free up). If there are large amounts of people waiting before you, your contact details will be recorded and we kindly request that you leave Level 17 to wait until you are contacted to enter.

Due to security reasons and for the safety of all guests, visitors are not permitted to bring the following items into the reception area:

o Sharp objects
o Cameras
o Video recorders, audio recorders and other similar devices
o Unsealed food and beverages are not allowed inside the waiting room area to prevent spillage
o Scooters, bicycles etc. (these cannot be brought up to Level 17 nor inside the Consulate, please make the necessary arrangements before visiting the Consulate)

Mobile phones are permitted but for information access and reference purposes only. However, phone calls (unless permitted by staff), photos, videos and voice recordings are prohibited.

Once inside, please have any collection receipts ready and head to the Reception window straight in front of the entry, state your purpose of visit to staff and whether it is an application or collection (e.g. visa application or collection; passport renewal/application or passport collection; police check application or police check collection). Visitors will then be given a number to wait until called. Those who do not make sure to get a number may lose their place in the queue.

Your cooperation is greatly appreciated.
