Our Mission

The mission of the Consulate-General of Japan at Brisbane's mission is twofold:

1. To create a better understanding and promote the development of ties between Japan and the people of Australia. By supporting a closer relationship between the two countries, the Consulate-General aims to help Australians better understand Japan and its people, customs and culture.

2. To represent and assist Japanese citizens living in Queensland. By providing various services to Japanese, we endeavour to make their lives in Australia as enjoyable and trouble-free as possible.

Organization

The Consulate-General at Brisbane is divided into several sections. The sections and their email contacts are as follows:

Opening Hours

Reception times for information on and issuance of all visas are:
Monday to Friday 9:00 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. and 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m.

Reception times for application of police clearance certificates are:
Monday to Friday 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. and 2:00 p.m. to 3:30 p.m.
